Stephen Curry getting the Nets in the second game of a B2B looks like a great play. Deron Williams is not a good defender, so Curry is primed for a big game. I’ve ridden the Tony Wroten train since Day 1, but I believe I’m getting off at this stop. If Michael Carter-Williams is indeed back tonight, and Wroten’s minutes fall to the level I’m projecting (31), then he is not someone I will be rostering. His salary is sitting at the pre-MCW levels and that just won’t work for me. This draft of projections has MCW getting 20 minutes, but that’s a pure guess on my part. I’ll update when we know more. If I don’t have Curry in a particular lineup, I’m taking a big step down to someone like Darren Collison, if he plays.

Very small bucket of SG options tonight. I think DeMar DeRozan looks great at the top. Klay Thompson looks great for GPPs. Courtney Lee continues to look good with a salary under $5000. For someone who shouldn’t be heavily rostered, Ben McLemore has been over 20 fantasy points in each of his last 4 games. With his 6X target being 22.8, I think he looks like a great low-priced option to hit value that no one talks about.

Pau Gasol is the only guy I like in the upper tier at PF. I’m projecting Nerlens Noel at 20 minutes now, just to get him on the chart, but obviously that is up in the air and will affect the rest of the 76ers bigs accordingly. The best punt option at PF might be Mirza Teletovic. 5X shouldn’t be an issue.

I’m avoiding Boogie tonight. The bigs for the Grizzlies are just too solid and smart. I could easily see early foul trouble and frustration for DeMarcus Cousins’ owners. On the opposite side of this game, I really like Marc Gasol. He’s been fairly pedestrian in his last 3, but I feel like this is the perfect situation for a breakout. I’ll probably take a closer look at Joakim Noah, but for now, I think Gasol is really my only option.

Just out of curiosity. Why so high on Curry if you only project him a 20% chance of reaching value?
Good question. I tend to treat the TOP guys a bit differently when it comes to value. Their distribution looks a bit different because there’s sort of an upper bound as to how good of a game you can really have. Because rosters are constrained (fixed amount of spots and positions), there’s some additional value in getting bigger totals in one spot. Basically, I’m not sure the relationship is linear. Second for me, I just think the projection is a little light for tonight. Nothing more than a hunch.

Good work! At least one of us made some money last night. As for the lineup, I can’t give too much info because I’m not as familiar with the FanDuel salary structure. I probably wouldn’t go so heavy on the Warriors. I haven’t done any studies to see if its a bad idea or not, I personally just don’t like having that many guys from one team. I’m also not a huge fan of Klay Thompson. Then again, you won money last night and I didn’t, so what do I know? 🙂 Good luck tonight!
