I got lucky last night and ended up breaking even, even though one of my two DraftKings lineups was an absolute dud. Painful stuff. I hope everyone else was able to have some success. Small slate tonight (3 games) so choose your value plays wisely. As always, if you are looking to sign up to play daily fantasy sports, please do so through one of the links below.
I won’t be rostering Stephen Curry. I think there are better value plays further down the board. If the Pelicans were worse defending the point, I’d take a closer look, but I really don’t see a reason to grab him at $10,200. I don’t really like Kyire Irving or Damian Lillard, either, but if you had to take one from the three guys I just listed, I think I’d take Lillard. My top PG play is Jrue Holiday. He’s a slightly better value at FanDuel than DraftKings, but I like him on both sites. If you do look to pay up for Steph Curry and need a punt to attach to him, you definitely want C.J. Watson, especially on DraftKings. Watson is #1 is value difference between the the two sites. I think Watson works on FanDuel, but he’s an excellent play at minimum salary on DK.

Tyreke Evans is one of the best plays of the day, regardless of position. I think he has the potential to have a huge day. He’s an infinitely better option than Klay Thompson. Wesley Matthews is incredibly solid and is someone I wouldn’t expect to have a high ownership rate. Rodney Stuckey’s minutes are trending down, so be careful if that’s where you are looking.

I’m passing on LeBron James at DraftKings, but I’m OK with him on FanDuel. I’m still avoiding Carmelo Anthony. Normally I’m all over Draymond Green, and he has an excellent match-up, but you want to keep an eye on his injury status. If he gets the green light, you want to own him, especially on DraftKings. Harrison Barnes looks great, too, although he’s a much better option on FanDuel. Shawn Marion is close to a must-play on FanDuel, but he works well on both sites. I don’t care what my projections say, I am NOT that confident in John Salmons.

If I’m taking one of the heavy hitters tonight, Anthony Davis is the guy. I don’t have much interest in LaMarcus Aldridge or Kevin Love. Amar’e Stoudemire has potential if he continues to play heavy minutes. Taking a chance on Tristan Thompson on FanDuel looks like a good move.
